Fako III WCPDM Supports Needy Young Scholars with Educational Material

Nursery, primary and secondary scholars within the Buea Municipality are once more top on the priority list of projects sponsored by the women’s wing of the Cameroon Peoples’ Democratic Movement (WCPDM). Members of this wing donated educational material worth FCFA 1.3 million to needy young scholars on Tuesday 27 August, 2013, to enable them go back to school this year.
The Fako Three Section President, Mrs Hannah Etonde Mbua, awarded books, pens and rulers to 305 recipients irrespective of the political affiliation of their parents. She disclosed during the ceremony that their party is committed to contributing to the education of youths especially those who are most in need. Mrs Mbua explained that they are committed to sustaining this school project they started in 2007 to enable them contribute to the success of the nation.
On his part, the Divisional Officer (D.O) for Buea, Wokam Kouam Paul, who chaired the ceremony, praised the initiative of the WCPDM members for supporting the education of young Cameroonians.
The D.O called on the recipients to make good use of the gifts to make their donors proud by producing good results this academic year. He advised parents of the beneficiaries to complete the remaining school needs of their children and also ensure that they follow them up in their studies
