On Monday 23rd May 2016 at 10 am the Limbe City board organised an ordinary session at their main office.
This session was to examine the administrative management and stores account for the 2015 fiscal year. The meeting was aimed at discussing revenue. In terms of revenue, out of 6 billion, a total of 4 billion was recovered in 2015 giving a percentage recovery rate of 71.4%. Whilst in 2014 it was 66.4%
More so the meeting was not only held to examine 2015 account but also to adopt a supplementary budget of 1 billion francs CFA for 2016 to add to the initial budget of 6 billion francs CFA which was already adopted. The reason was because of the Women African Cup Of Nation (AFCON) which starts in November. In addition, this has brought about projects like the construction of a hotel at the customs canteen, the development of the town by the improvement of roads and planting of flowers around the city. The AFCON in November is a golden opportunity to put Limbe firmly on the international map. Hence the Government Delegate of the Limbe City Council, Mr Andrew Motanga, expressed his gratitude to His Excellency Paul Biya and the government for the Limbe for hosting AFCON. It was attended by the Senior Divisional Officer Mr Zang III, Divisional Officer Mr Epale Seraphim, Mayors of Limbe 1 ,2 and 3 and Lord Mayors Rodanny Mbua, Duncan Molindo and Dibotti Luma, General Managers of public parastastals, Divisional delegates, Senior councillors and traditional rulers.
The Government Delegate further thanked all his collaborators who contributed to the success of the Limbe FESTAC.
