Conference in Buea

Christians of the Cameroon Baptist Convention took time from the 24th to the 27th of November 2011 to organise a Nationwide Bible Conference. In Fako Division, Baptist Christians of the Soppo Field organised activities to observe this conference at the Macedonia Baptist Church, Molyko, Buea. This year’s theme for the conference was “The Gospel of First Importance”. Taking from the Book of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the Christians were doctrined to examine the time-line of the ministry of Christ.
The guest speaker at the Soppo Field Bible Conference, Rev. Joeys Motomby Itue from the USA told the congregation that it is by examining the time-line of the ministry of Christ that they will be able to evaluate how far they have to gone with the work of God. According to the man of God, if Christians develop their spiritual relation with God, they will be able to know the most productive stage of their lives and use it for the service of God.
The preacher told Christians that everybody is important in the vineyard of the Lord. He explained that those who are physically weak can still be resourceful by being teachers of the word of God. He added that each Christian is called to be a disciple.
While enriching themselves with the word of God, the Christian faithful also found time to organise a singing competition. They also deliberated on issues related to church business. This involved the raising funds for the Soppo Field Pastor’s car and other Baptist projects.
