South West Cultural Festival Transforms Molyko into a Touristic Site

The Molyko Stadium has since Friday December 8, 2017, been transformed into a huge touristic ground. All the different cultures of the six divisions of the South West Region, other parts of Cameroon and neighbouring Nigeria are currently being displayed daily in the ongoing South West Cultural Festival.

The festival which is in its second edition is currently pulling the crowds from all parts of the country to witness a display of cultural artifacts, buildings, dances, choral singing, dressings, amongst others. The festival started on Friday December 8 with a workshop on cultural heritage and museums. The day was crowned with a cultural night.

Saturday December 9, 2017 witnessed a female canoe race that took place in Limbe. A film projection and musical concert also took place later in the evening where cultural music was displayed. Activities continue until Saturday December 16, 2017 where awards shall be presented to participants.

Meme Division hosted the first edition of the South West Cultural festival same time last year in Kumba.
